An exam is the doctor’s opportunity to evaluate your pet’s entire body in a way that is simply not possible for even the most loving pet parent to replicate in a home environment. From feeling pulse quality utilizing a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) perspective, to palpating lymph nodes and thyroid, or analyzing stance and gait – simply applying a trained eye to the combinations of subtle changes that may signify an imbalance – the doctor has an opportunity to synthesize your observations with their years of experience.

We recognize that animals have sensory information-gathering ability that far exceeds human capability, and that the connection between animals and their owners can have a profound impact on the animal’s well-being and lived experience. This acknowledgment of the human-animal bond on an emotional, electrical, and chemical level enables us to access the healing capacity of the animal by leading the human to balance their own internal state. One-on-one sessions are led by Coach Lee Burki.
Price: $160 initial visit, $310 per additional hourly session

Exceptional healing is possible when we engage the body’s innate mechanisms. PRP involves the donation of the pet’s own blood sample which is centrifuged to separate out the layer containing growth factors, and re-injection of this substance into the joint(s) for the purposes of tissue healing and pain control. A favored non-surgical alternative to manage knee injuries such as cruciate ligament partial tears, this procedure is available to Dr. Watson‘s patients and on a referral basis with the coordination of your regular vet. Dr. Watson is also an innovator in combining PRP with healing peptides such as BPC-157.

The TCM Case Review is a detailed evaluation of your pet’s unique underlying energetic pattern including a functional analysis of 33 different organs and body systems, allowing us to make adjustments to our treatments accordingly. TCM Case Reviews are a way to understand the underlying “why” of a behavior or symptom pattern, with indicators of the most beneficial treatments to achieve correction of imbalances. These can be used for optimizing wellness protocols from a preventative standpoint, and are the way to approach the medical mysteries that do not fit into the conventional medical paradigm. This service is available to Dr. Watson’s current patients, and remotely via a vet-to-vet consultation.

We put our best effort into equipping you with preventative measures for ensuring your pet’s dental health through diet, healthy chewing options, and home care with brushing and supplements. Nonetheless, from time to time an anesthetic dental procedure is required, and we follow best practices. We utilize ultrasonic and hand-scaling, polishing, probing and charting, and full-mouth dental X-ray imaging to determine if any extractions are required, which are performed using high speed dental burs and specialist-trained techniques. As a small holistic practice, we can provide individualized care to one patient at a time to ensure the safest and most comfortable experience for you and your pet.

DAP titers: Distemper-Adenovirus-Parvo (DAPP or DHPP) is the vaccine that your dog may be getting every 1-3 years, but did you know that we can check immunity levels via a titer blood test and make an evidence-based decision about if this vaccine is really needed?

Research is now quite robust, showing the benefits of delayed spay and neuter until dogs have completed their skeletal development. There are also situations where alternative spay and neuter procedures are a good fit for meeting your longevity and wellness goals for your pet while minimizing health risks and respecting breeder sterilization requirements. Read more on the Parsemus foundation website, but in a nutshell, Ovary-sparing spay (OSS) allows a female dog to maintain her ovaries for the longevity and hormonal balance benefit, while eliminating the risks of pregnancy and pyometra (uterine infection). Vasectomy is a surgical sterilization for male dogs, that allows them to maintain their intact hormonal state. These procedures are not performed for cats due to the behavior challenges of intact cats, and OSS is not recommended for dog breeds that have a higher tendency to mammary cancer.
Price: $1520 OSS and $1270 Vasectomy. These procedures are available to Dr. Watson‘s regular patients, on a referral basis from your regular vet, or on a limited-client basis for those traveling from a distance for just this procedure.
